Shattered Glass

I walk on shattered glass; not my body but my struggling mind
It tears at the fringes of my heart; it rips to shreds all semblance of thought
This broken glass on which I walk
It cuts every fiber of me
It embeds itself under the skin of my reality
Sending sharp pain with every breath, puncturing holes in the flesh of my existence
